My first thought when seeing these hanging above my head was that the
pallet rack seemed woefully undersized. Then I looked closer and
noticed that they are just wood patterns.
There is a display area with hundred of patterns, from pulleys to
lamp posts.
In the patterns area is an old grind stone and its countershaft. The
wheel is about 5' in diameter.
A nice old workbench. I'm not sure what it was used for but it is in
great shape.
Some more details. It is simply made but still looks great in my
opinion. The wood appears to be eucalyptus with pine for the drawers.
A tool chest that belonged to a carriage maker.

this room is a public reading room where much of the historical
information can be accessed.
