
T. Robinson & Son finger eating finger jointer. Found in
the local free classifieds. The cutters are fitted to the cutter head
with spacers in between. A great
wad of wood is clamped in vertically (it looks like you could cut about
10 drawer pieces at once!), then fed through the cutters by means of
the
feed screw. Or so the seller tells me. What do I care, its old, heavy
and
looks cool. It will be fun to hook up just to see it decimate wood. It
has several similarities to my F.
Wesel printers saw. It has a flip
top lid, identical design of hinge
for the lid and sets the depth of cut via a bolt that just holds the
table
up. It differs in that it is ball bearing as opposed to white
metal/babbit
bearing.
