Delta 11" Lathe
This 1930's lathe belonged to to my late grandfather-in-law, Mits. It
is high
on the resoration queue.

Picture taken in his garage in Vancouver.

What is left of the decal. It used to say "Delta Double Duty Lathe".

While visiting Vancouver, I broke down the lathe into small
pieces to check as aircraft luggage or to send via UPS. The above pic
was taken after upacking the boxes a couple of years later.

A couple of repairs. On the left a piece of steel has been
brazed to the top the banjo. On the right, a repair where the original
threaded portion has broken out of the headstock.

Mits grew up during the great depression. A fine example of his
ingenuity: the chuck from a deal hand held power drill couple to a
morse 2 mini-faceplate thing. Holes were drilled in the original gear
of the drill.
